The Therapy Room

 My therapy room is located upstairs in my home, tucked away in a quiet location overlooking beautiful woodland.


The room itself is cosy and warm, carefully designed to promote relaxation and healing from the moment you arrive. Whether you're here for Hypnotherapy or seeking a safe space to unwind and focus on your well-being, this tranquil setting is the ideal backdrop for your journey. It's more than just a treatment room, it's a sanctuary where you can leave the outside world behind and focus entirely on you.


My emphasis is providing a relaxed and friendly environment where my clients can feel comfortable. If you have any questions or would like any further details at all then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Please note that access to the therapy room is via a flight of stairs therefore if you have any mobility concerns I'm happy to discuss an alternative option.

 


About me

Caroline

A mum of 3 three adult children, I am now dedicated to working in a field that I am truly passionate about - helping others through Hypnotherapy, as it offers a powerful and transformative approach to overcoming challenges and achieving personal growth.


I began my journey in the field of mental health by pursuing a counselling qualification. While this provided me with a solid foundation for understanding and supporting others, I soon realised that its approach had certain limitations.


This led me to explore hypnotherapy, where I discovered a more solution-focused method that aligns with my belief in creating a positive, lasting change.


I am a qualified Hypnotherapist with a Diploma in Hypnosis & Clinical Hypnotherapy. 

I am also qualified in Past Life Regression.

I hold a Level 3 qualification in Counselling Studies and have achieved a Master Level qualification in Reiki Healing.

I am Fully Insured and a member of The National Board for Hypnotherapy and the National Board for Modern Psychotherapy.


I undertake regular supervision sessions to ensure the highest standards of practice and keep up to date with the latest techniques and developments by attending ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development) training, this allows me to provide the best support for my clients.


My passion lies in helping individuals overcome their challenges and achieve positive change through a compassionate, client-centred approach.

What to expect at your Hypnotherapy Consultation

  • Getting to Know You
    We’ll complete a form together to explore your background, current situation, and what you’re hoping to achieve through our work together.
  • Understanding the Brain
    I’ll explain the neuroscience behind the challenges you’re facing, helping you understand why you feel the way you do—and how hypnotherapy can support positive change.
  • No Hypnosis Yet
    There won’t be any hypnosis or trance work in this initial session. However, I’ll provide you with a link to my relaxation track so you can begin using it at home. If you’d like, and if time allows, we can also do a brief guided relaxation during the session.
  • Next Steps
    If you feel comfortable and ready to move forward, we can schedule your next session before you leave.

What to expect in your Hynotherapy session

Hypnotherapy often comes with a lot of misconceptions -  First and foremost, hypnosis isn’t about losing control, being “put under,” or doing something you wouldn’t normally do. It’s a natural state of focused relaxation that allows your mind to work on resolving issues more effectively.


During a session, you will remain fully aware and in control. Think of it as guided daydreaming—your body is deeply relaxed, but your mind is alert and open to positive suggestions. Hypnosis feels different for everyone, but many describe it as a pleasant state of calm where they feel deeply connected to themselves.

There’s no magic wand or swinging pocket watch involved—modern hypnotherapy is grounded in proven techniques to help address issues like stress, habits, phobias, confidence, and more. 


At the beginning of the session I will ask you what has been good about your week, this is to get your brain working in the left frontal cortex before we start - when this part of the brain is activated, people are more open to new ideas, solutions and change, this is exactly what we want in hypnotherapy.

I will then invite you to rate how you've been feeling the past week on a scale of 1 -10, and together we'll gently explore how that number might be nudged up a little, and look at one or two practical steps you can take to support the shift.

Once your mind is prepared, I will guide you into a calming and peaceful hypnotic state - this is simply a deep relaxation that lasts around 20 minutes, helping you feel rested, centred, and clear.


By the end of your session, you will leave feeling relaxed, empowered, and ready to embrace positive transformation. If you have ever felt stuck with traditional talk therapies, hypnotherapy offers a dynamic, forward-looking alternative—one that’s all about moving you toward the life you want to live.


The amount of sessions required will vary depending on your individual needs and requirements but this can be discussed at your initial consultation.
