About Me & My Practice

Caroline

As a mum of three adult children, I am now dedicated to working in a field that I am deeply passionate about - helping others through Hypnotherapy, as it offers a powerful and transformative approach to overcoming challenges and achieving personal growth. 

In the past, within my Reiki practice, I have had the privilege of working with clients across all age groups, supporting those experiencing anxiety and stress, as well as providing gentle, compassionate care for individuals at the end of life.

Having experienced my own mental health challenges earlier in life, I bring a genuine understanding and empathy to my work, alongside my professional experience supporting others with their mental health and emotional difficulties.

My journey into the field of mental health began with studying Counselling, and after completing Level 2 and Level 3, I felt that I had a strong foundation in understanding and supporting others. However I also felt that traditional Counselling alone had certain limitations. This inspired me to explore Hypnotherapy, where I discovered a more solution-focused, transformative approach that truly aligns with my belief in creating lasting, positive change.


I am a Fully Qualified and Insured Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, holding:

I undertake regular supervision and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training to stay up to date with the latest techniques and developments, allowing me to provide the best possible support for my clients.

You can see me at the Wellness Suite in the Plympton Therapy Rooms or at my home-based Therapy Room in Oreston in Plymouth. Both spaces provide a calm and welcoming environment designed to help you feel at ease.

My Oreston Therapy Room is on the ground floor, making it accessible for those with mobility issues.


If you'd prefer, I also offer online sessions, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort of your own home.


At the time of booking, we can discuss which location — or format — will be most suitable for your needs.


The Plympton Therapy Rooms is situated in the quiet residential area of Woodford and has plenty of unrestricted parking available. It is on the main bus route and only a minutes drive from Marsh MillsI offer therapy sessions from two comfortable and confidential locations.

Is Hypnotherapy for you?

Hypnotherapy often comes with a lot of misconceptions -  First and foremost, hypnosis isn’t about losing control, being “put under,” or doing something you wouldn’t normally do. It’s a natural state of focused relaxation that allows your mind to work on resolving issues more effectively.

What to expect at your FREE Initial Hypnotherapy Consultation

The initial consultation is a chance for us to get to know each other and discuss what you’d like to achieve. During this session, we’ll talk about your goals, your current situation and how I may be able to support you in reaching your objectives.

Together we will complete a form so I can gather some key information about you and your aims. This helps me tailor my approach to your specific needs and make sure our time together is as valuable as possible. 


There is no Hypnosis during this session.

There’s no pressure or commitment — just a friendly conversation to see if I’m the right fit for you.


This initial consultation can be attended either in person at The Wellness Suite, Plympton Therapy Rooms, or online via a secure video platform, depending on your preference.

What to expect in your Hypnotherapy Session


 At the beginning of the session, I will ask you what has been good about your week — this helps get your brain working in the left frontal cortex before we start. When this part of the brain is activated, people are more open to new ideas, solutions, and change, which is exactly what we want in hypnotherapy.

I’ll also give you a brief and personalised explanation of how the brain works in relation to your goals, so you can understand what’s happening and why we use certain techniques.

Next, I’ll invite you to rate how you’ve been feeling over the past week on a scale of 1–10, and together we’ll gently explore how that number might be nudged up a little, looking at one or two practical steps you can take to support that shift.

Once your mind is prepared, I will guide you into a calming and peaceful hypnotic state — this is simply a deep relaxation that lasts around 20-25 minutes, during which positive suggestions and therapeutic work are gently integrated to help you strengthen new patterns of thought and behaviour. 

You’ll come out of trance feeling rested, centred, and clear.


By the end of your session, you will leave feeling relaxed, empowered, and ready to embrace positive transformation.
